Pacific Antiques Ltd. was registered in
Victoria, British Columbia, Canada on St. Patrick's Day 1976. This was three months before
the Clarke family moved permanently to Victoria from Cork, Ireland where Leonard Clarke
had established his antique business in 1955. Pacific Antiques, Ltd. has operated
successfully in Victoria for the past 32 years with the emphasis on 18th and early 19th
century English and Irish Silver and Glass and English and Oriental Pottery and Porcelain. Leonard is Honorary Life President of the
Irish Antique Dealers' Association, of which he was a founder member.
2009 UPDATE:
The recent downturn in the market has
created an opportunity to own quality antiques at some of the best
prices seen in years. We have always given the advice: "Buy what
you love and choose the best quality that you can afford."
If you
haven't visited Pacific Antiques or our website for some time, you
will be pleased with some of our new pricing. Prices have been
lowered considerably to reflect the world economic situation. We
will be more than pleased to assist you with our years of experience,
whether you are looking for super English porcelain, Georgian
sterling, or exquisite Asian ceramics.
We will be listing more of our stock
during the coming weeks so check back on our site, or come visit us at
829 Fort Street, Victoria, B.C.
The downturn is, as always, a
temporary situation and we have to keep in mind what Roosevelt
said - 'The only thing to fear is fear itself'.
